Storing Data in our Webshop

In order to process your order, we store the following data: title, first name, surname, address, email address, optional data you have entered (company, address details, telephone number). We require the data you have provided to fulfil the contract or take measures that are necessary during the pre-contract phase. Without this data, we cannot enter into a contract with you. We do not share data with third parties, with the exception of credit card data, which we transmit to the bank(s)/the payment provider involved in order to enable them to debit your purchase, to delivery service companies whom we assign to deliver your purchase, and our tax adviser to enable him to fulfil his legal obligations.

If you cancel your order before sending it, all the data stored will be deleted. After a contract has been made, all data connected with it will be stored for a period of 7 years in accordance with tax law.

Data connected with your name, address, products/services purchased and date of purchase will be stored for a period of 10 years, after which product liability expires. Data processing is based on § 96 (3) TKG (Telecommunications Law 2003) and Art 6 (1)(a) (agreement) and/or (b) (necessary to fulfil a contract) of the GDPR.

Registration and user account

Registration for a user account is optional when using our webshop. When users register, we inform them about the information required (obligatory and optional fields). We use data shared with us in the registration to enable users to use our website. We may provide users with relevant information with regard to offers and registration, such as changes to our product/service range, technical updates etc., via email.

In the event that a user cancels their user account, data related to this account are deleted, apart from data which have to be stored for legal reasons under tax and/or trade laws in accordance with GDPR Art. 6 (1)(c). If a user cancels before a contract has been fulfilled, responsibility for any backup of the data rests with the user. We are permitted to irretrievably delete all data stored during the contract period.

When users use our functions to register and log in in connection with their user accounts, we store the IP-address and the time of the user’s particular action. Google-Re/Marketing Services

In accordance with the GDPR, we have a legitimate interest in improving our offers and our website. Therefore, we use marketing and remarketing services (in short, “Google-Marketing-Services”) provided by Google LLC, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA, (“Google”).

Google is certified according to the Privacy Shield-agreement and therefore guarantees its compliance with European data protection laws (https://www.privacyshield.gov/participant?id=a2zt000000001L5AAI&status=Active).

Google marketing services enable us to display selected adverts for and on our website so that users only see adverts that reflect their potential interests. Google runs a code and uses so-called (re-)marketing tags; thus, an individual cookie is stored in the user’s browser. Our use of cookies is explained above.

Google can also connect the information collected with data collected from other sources. When users later visit other websites, they can be provided with adverts reflecting their particular interests.

The user’s IP address is also recorded through Google Analytics; in connection with Google Analytics, we use data pseudonymization: We record your IP-address; as soon as it is recorded, we apply pseudonymization, for example by deleting the last 8 bit. The IP-address can thus be only roughly localized; adverts can only be administered and displayed for a particular cookie-owner, not for a specific person. This is of course not the case if users have explicitly permitted Google to use their data without any pseudonymization. The information collected by Google Marketing Services is transmitted to Google and stored on their servers in the USA. The user’s IP address is not connected with other data concerning this user collected through other Google services.

The cookies we use include those provided by the Google marketing service “Google AdWords”; we may display adverts by third parties by using the Google marketing service “AdSense” and its cookies. For further details regarding Google’s use of data for marketing please see https://policies.google.com/technologies/ads, for Google’s privacy policy please see https://www.google.com/policies/privacy.

We also use “Google Tag Manager“ to run analysis and marketing services provided by Google in our website and to administer them.

We run social media and network sites in order to be able to communicate with users, clients and customers who are active there. These media and networks are provided on the basis of their particular terms and conditions as well as their particular data privacy policies.

If not mentioned otherwise in our data privacy policy, we process user data when users communicate with us in social media and networks.
